EAA Chapter 509 is powered by volunteers. From youth programs to monthly gatherings, our events and outreach efforts rely on individuals who are willing to share their time, skills, and enthusiasm.

If you are interested in getting involved, there are many ways to help.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

 

Young Eagles Pilots

We are currently seeking pilots to volunteer for our Young Eagles rallies. Volunteer pilots provide introductory flights to youth and help create memorable first aviation experiences.

Young Eagles Volunteers

Not a pilot? Volunteers are also needed to help with event setup, registration, ground coordination, parking assistance, and general support during Young Eagles rallies.

These events rely on organized and dependable volunteers to run smoothly.

Youth Program Support

We welcome volunteers who are interested in supporting youth programs, mentoring students, assisting with hands on activities, or helping with coordination.

Aviation experience is helpful but not required. A willingness to engage and support young people is what matters most.

 

Pancake Breakfast Volunteers

Our pancake breakfast events bring the community together and require many helping hands. Volunteers assist with food preparation, serving, setup, cleanup, hospitality, and general event support.

Whether you can help for a short shift or the full event, your time makes a meaningful difference in creating a welcoming and successful experience.

Monthly Gathering Support

Our monthly gatherings rely on volunteers to:

  • Provide food or refreshments

  • Serve as greeters

  • Assist with setup and cleanup

  • Share knowledge as guest speakers
